Yes it Does
Part XCII

The dead, decaying corpse of Otto the Ugly Freak was found next to a school dumpster by Yes and Matt.

“Well, what the hell happened here?” Matt rubbed Otto’s neck fat between his fingers. “Very cold.”

“Yes. Yes does it does yes it does yes it does.”

Yes identified a carving on the surface of a discarded desk. It said “candy.” He could tell that Otto had carved it because Otto’s desk-carving knife was still in his hand.

“A mystery! I’m on top of this thing!” Matt climbed on top of Otto’s body.

Yes interrogated a few loiterers who were in the area to see if they had any information they were willing to part with. Person after person denied knowledge until one woman sidled up to Yes and handed him a piece of paper.

“This is very revealing,” she told him. The paper had a picture on it:

“Intriguing,” Matt rubbed his chin. Yes grabbed the drawing and burned it to ashes with a match. Then he lit Matt’s eyebrows on fire.

“I can tell you what happened.” Tim rose from out of the dumpster with a diaper on his head and pesto sauce wiped across his face. “He died of some kind of heart condition. I could tell because he croaked out ‘Ouch! My heart condition!’ and then collapsed. While Otto was dying, he carved the word ‘candy’ into this wooden desk before he died. He did that because he was hungry. Especially for candy.”

“How do you know that?” Matt asked.

“Because I know that.”

“Oh. Okay.”

The end.
